David Snead, Attorney at Law, will be presenting at SYS-CON's 5th International Virtualization Conference & Expo being held in New York City this coming March 30-April 1, 2009. Snead, whose Washington DC-based practice focuses exclusively on representing companies and other entities active in the Internet infrastructure, will be discussing the legal implications of moving to a virtualized environment.
His session will cover upstream, downstream and corporate liability issues associated with acquiring, using and distributing virtualized and cloud computing products.
"Delegates will learn how to effectively: review contracts to avoid licensing and distribution problems; modify, and create new contracts; and meet corporate risk tolerance requirements," says Snead, who spoke on this topic at the 4th International Virtualization Conference & Expo in San Jose, CA, last November, to rave reviews.
"They will leave this session with the knowledge necessary to identify those legal issues that must be addressed prior to deploying new services and the answers you should expect," he adds.

5th International Virtualization Conference & Expo - New York City - March 30-April 1, 2009
Virtualization is reorganizing the IT industry. It underpins cloud computing by making it possible to separate the software from the hardware.Overall, the virtualization market has grown from approximately $560 million in 2005 to a forecasted $2.7 billion in 2009, according to IDC. According to Gartner, virtualization will be the highest-impact IT trend changing infrastructure and operations through 2012.
While data center virtualization is still the #1 market segment, it’s starting to get competition from application virtualization, storage virtualization, I/O virtualization and virtualization for end users - so called endpoint virtualization. In fact, in almost any credible survey of Top Technology Trends for 2009, Virtualization and Cloud Computing top the list. In Gartner's Top 10 Strategic Technologies for 2009, it ranked #1, up from #5 last year.
