The 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hit newsstands this week, gaining 133 percent in search activity. Meanwhile, model Marissa Miller, who has graced the pages of Victoria Secret and other Sports Illustrated issues, and is currently featured on the cover of the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, sees her search activity triple this week, up 300 percent. The Westminster Dog Show prances onto this week's Movers and Shakers list, jumping 330 percent, as a 15-inch beagle named "Uno" took the 132nd "Best in Show."
From the political stage, searches for presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama jump 13 percent this week, while search activity for Sen. Hillary Clinton drops 45 percent. Sen. John McCain sees the biggest dip in online interest, down 60 percent. And Oprah Winfrey continues to stir online interest, up 153 percent, as America awaits the premier of the media mogul's new prime-time reality show, "Oprah's Big Give," airing March 3.
Grammy's Drama:
Searches for the 2008 Grammy Awards continue to rise this week, up 200 percent, due in part to the on-going feud between Aretha Franklin and Beyonce. Franklin -- known as the "Queen of Soul" -- took offense after Beyonce introduced Tina Turner as "the queen" during the duo's recent Grammy performance. While the drama refuses to die down, Beyonce appears to be the one getting R-E-S-P-E-C-T with web users, gaining 100 percent in online interest. In other Grammy-related search activity, singer Amy Winehouse is the biggest search gainer, with online interest tripling over the past two weeks since she captured her five Grammys.
