  • Today, Oracle announced that Oracle® WebLogic Server, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, together with Oracle Database 11g running on Oracle Enterprise Linux and a Dell PowerEdge R910 Server achieved a world record single-node result with the SPECjAppServer2004 industry standard benchmark(1).
  • With this achievement, Oracle WebLogic Server now holds world record results in multi-node(2), dual-node(3), and single-node SPECjAppServer2004 benchmarks, in addition to delivering the highest performance per core(4) of any result ever published.

Benchmark Details

  • Oracle WebLogic Server with Oracle Database 11g achieved 11,057.07 SPECjAppServer2004 [email protected] (jAppServer Operations Per Second). The Java Application Server was running on a four-socket Dell PowerEdge R910 server with the new Intel® Xeon® X7560 2.26 GHz processor. Oracle Database 11g was running on an identical hardware configuration. Both the application server and database server were running Oracle Enterprise Linux.
  • SPECjAppServer2004 is a multi-tier benchmark for measuring the performance of a representative J2EE application and each of the components that make up the application environment, including hardware, application server software, JVM software, database software, JDBC drivers and the system network.
